    We provide a range of services to individuals on the autism spectrum, as well as support for their families. Our goals are to hire and train quality direct support professionals who are looking for careers in the field, and care for each of our clients as though they were members of our own family. We strive to ensure that our employees provide services to clients that foster independence, dignity, and individuality.

  • What are Individual Supports?

    Individual support is one on one direct support for an adult with IDD that promotes increased independence, productivity, enhanced family functioning, and inclusion in the community. This service can be provided with or without family or guardian present and in or out of the client’s residence.


    Individual supports can include community-based activities and assistance and support with activities of daily living.

  • What are Community Based Supports?

    One-to-one direct support that promotes increased independence, productivity, enhanced family functioning, and inclusion in the community. Includes community-based activities primarily to foster increased independence, productivity, enhanced family functioning, and inclusion in the community.


    Here are some examples of Community Based Supports that ACS provides:

    • Support on a job site to assist in basic self-care, social skills, and activities of daily living.
    • Support from staff to enable an individual to visit a museum or movie theatre, attend an event, take a class, etc.
    • Support from staff to assist an individual participating in activities such as: assistance in completing activities of daily living, ordering off a menu, purchasing items, learning basic cooking, laundry skills, etiquette, travel training, accessing activities in the community, etc.
    • One-on-one tutoring
  • What is Supported Employment?

    Supported Employment – Individual: Assists an individual to get and/or keep a job in the general workforce at or above minimum wage.


    Supported Employment – Small Group: Training activities in business, industry, and community settings for a group of 2-8 individuals.

  • What are Behavioral Supports?

    Behavioral Supports: Counseling, behavioral interventions, and/or diagnostic evaluations/consultations to help an individual manage their behaviors and learn to interact with others. We have a licensed BCBA on staff.
